Formed in 2008, DIKTATUR emerged onto the French black metal scene, embodying the frosty and towering atmosphere synonymous with the darkest corners of the extreme metal genre. With a heavy and aggressive style, they quickly made their mark through notable recordings, including the impactful 'La voie du sang' and the highly acclaimed four-track EP titled 'L’agonie d’un monde.'

In 2023, the band unveiled exclusive old demo recordings, offering a glimpse into their early creative endeavors. Among these treasures were 'Les reliques,' a pre-production recording that laid the groundwork for what would later become 'L'agonie d'un monde,' and 'Demo MMIX,' representing the band's inaugural foray into the recording realm.

DIKTATUR officially announced their return after six years of silence, presenting their new manifesto with the upcoming single 'VIA SINISTRÆ,'scheduled for release on February 2nd, 2024. With a fresh lineup yet to be unveiled, DIKTATUR picks up where 'L’agonie d’un monde' left off in 2016, delving even deeper into their distinctive musical universe.

Blending matter and digital, the cover features artwork by the artist Maxime Tacardi, known for his unique approach of using his own blood in his works. Tacardi's creations have adorned albums for esteemed bands such as Shining, Tulus, Sarke, and Profundis Tenebrarum.
